The Design and Construction Management (DCM) and Public Utilities (PU) Departments have executed a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract with Whiting-Turner (Construction Manager) on the Hollywood North Beach Utilities Underground Conversion project.  Whiting-Turner along with their Consultants/Subcontractors have begun construction activities. Construction updates can be found below.

Work has commenced and will continue from Franklin Street to Balboa Street between A1A and Surf Rd. (Residential Area). Work between Douglas and Freedom St. (Condo Area) is almost completed. See below for current construction updates.

The duration of the project will be approximately 30 months with completion scheduled for Fall 2026.

During construction, access to driveways may be limited in
the work zone. Notices for construction will be provided at
least 1 week prior to the commencement of work on each
subsequent street.

Temporary Parking will be available for residents directly
affected by construction activities. Registration for parking
passes is available by completing the Temporary Parking
Registration Form below under "Project Documents".
Parking Decals will be distributed to each resident.
